ABOUT POPCORN WILLY
Popcorn Willy was founded in 1991 by William Wolfe. Willy began by selling his popcorn on the streets of Washington Pennsylvania, having only a few flavors and other snacks. The popcorn machine that he used is over 100 years old, now retired, and displayed in our front window at 20 N. Main St. in Washington PA, along with the uniform he wore.
On March 25th, 1995 we had our grand opening and ribbon cutting of our first storefront. The mayor at the time declared the 25th of March as "Popcorn Willy Day" in the city of Washington.
The business is owned and operated by the Wolfe and Buxton families.
